Vattenfall is Europe’s fifth largest electricity generator and the largest generator of heat and operates in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Poland, the Benelux countries as well as the UK. Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation by “making electricity clean” with the aim of achieving climateneutrality by 2050. Investment in wind power is an important cornerstone for delivering this strategy. We are currently building eight wind farms in six countries, both onshore and offshore, and will double our electricity generation from wind power by 2011. Vattenfall Wind Power has approximately 270 employees around Europe.
